No harmful chemicals or additives! pureSEPTIC is a patented, natural biological septic tank & drain line treatment. It keeps septic systems flowing by unleashing billions of naturally occurring bacteria that thrive on stubborn organics found in every wastewater system.
With our experience in the large pond and lake market where we are dealing with millions of gallons and acres of surface area to treat, we knew that our bacteria technology would work wonders in the typical 1000 gallon septic tank -- and it does! You can expect more time between pump-outs, less septic odors and a healthy leach field.
Septic Tank System A properly designed and maintained septic system should not need additives of any kind. The term "septic" refers to the anaerobic bacterial environment that develops in the tank and which decomposes the waste discharged into the tank. The dilemma most homeowners face is the impact of what goes down our drains. We often introduce substances into the waste-water system that damage the microbial activity in the tank, leading to more sludge build-up, less time between pump-outs and often failure of the leach field due to solids leaving the tank. According to numerous studies, an estimated 10% to 20% of septic systems fail each year. The cost of septic repair can range from $2,000-$20,000 depending on extent and complexity of the repair. pureSEPTIC is a low cost way to restart or maintain the microbial activity and health of your septic system.
How Do Septic Systems Work? The key to a healthy and long lasting septic system is making sure your effluent is clear and free of suspended solids. The typical septic treatment system includes a septic tank, which digests organic matter and separates float-able matter (e.g., oils and grease) and settleable solids from the waste-water. Soil-based systems discharge the liquid (effluent) from the septic tank into a series of perforated pipes buried in a leach field, designed to slowly release the effluent into the soil. Organic Pond's pureSEPTIC energizes the microbial activity in your septic tank, which reduces suspended solids, and results in clear solid-free effluent reaching the leach field.
How Much Do I Need? The typical septic tank is 1000 gallons. Pour one 4 ounce cap every month down any drain in the house. If you have a larger system add 4 ounces for every 1000 gallons. We have packaged 16 treatments in every 64 ounce bottle which is enough treatments for 1.25 years. Many companies try to sell years of bacteria-based products at a time, but buyer beware as bacteria-based products do have a shelf life. Buy only what you need for the next year.
